Consafe Engineering Services of Aberdeen have begun the initial stages of delivery of new accommodation projects, for BG Tunisia to the Miskar-B Platform and for Sigma3 to the Shell Nelson Platform
The BG Tunisia Miskar project consists of a 4 level 24-man Additional Living Quarters, consisting of 22no modules, comprising 2 and 4 man cabins with wet units and office accommodation. This stage of the project now involves some detailed logistics and movement of manpower as Consafe will also be undertaking the offshore installation in Tunisia, and will be using some of its highly experienced Aberdeen labour force in the process.
The end of 2007 and the beginning of 2008 has seen Consafe conducting a recruitment drive for all engineering discipline personnel, the likes of which it has not been required for a number of years and which is still ongoing to match the swelling order books.

Simultaneously, under contract to Sigma3, Consafe have delivered the Shell Nelson Accommodation comprising of 4 identical H60 fire-rated modules with a blast rating of 200 m/bar, providing an additional 16 bed spaces. Two of the modules have been shipped straight offshore with the remaining 2 on the quayside awaiting their delivery slot.
These two projects have added towards the £10M booked so far this year by Consafe giving an indication of an exceptional year ahead.
